I bought this model because I previously had a model 403 for about 12 years. Except for a display replacement it worked flawlessly over that time. But the program options were primitive and limited. So since the Schwinn seemed to be mechanically sound, I decided to get a newer model with the advanced programing. This has proven to be a good decision as the programs and incline option give a much better challenge. Only complaint is the various ticks and little mechanical noises that come and go with the rotation of the flywheel. Minor quibble but annoying nonetheless.

(Coded POLAR® heart rate straps such as POLAR® OwnCode® chest straps will not work with this equipment.) How hard is it to assemble? Why would I need to pay the installation charge of $249 for a $899 piece of equipment? Sounds like a lot of money to get this thing put together, so maybe I should pass on this as others seem easier to install. What am I missing?

What brands of silicone lubricant do you recommend for the elliptical? Is there a benefit to a spray-on type versus one that uses more of a dropper-like applicator? How often should I be using the lubricant on the elliptical? Thanks.

- Verified Reply - DarleneHi! Great questions. We recommend 100% Silicone Based Lubricant. Do not use petroleum based products. Weekly: Check for smooth roller operation. Wipe the machine to remove dust, dirt, or grime. Clean the rails and surface of the rollers with a damp cloth. Apply silicone lubricant to a dry cloth and wipe the rails to eliminate roller noise. - Verified Reply - DarleneHi William! Great question, We would use Explore the World App from the App Store. I will include the Instructions below. I hope this helps. Explore the World Connect 1. Install the app Explore the World and approve all permissions requests 2. (If you have an apple product, open the settings app and scroll down to ETW and enable Bluetooth) 3.Turn on machine and leave at the "Welcome" screen 4. Create a profile in ETW and sign in 5. If you have an elliptical or treadmill select "Run" and if you have a bike select "Ride" 6. Select one of the tracks available to you 7. Tap on "Start Ride" 8. Tap on "Connect Now" 9. If your machine has a Bluetooth button, press it now. If it does not the blue tooth signal is being broadcast automatically 10. Your machine will appear in the list as connected and the blue tooth light should appear on the console 11. The app should now display the track that you had selected 12.
